Crystavox

Country: United States of America
Genre: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal

Since its formation in 1986. Crystavox, (Latin for "Christ's Voice") has dedicated itself to perfecting it's unique tapestry of words and music. Hailing from San Diego, the band quickly broke the local demographics to take the industry by storm. Crystavox first captured wide spread attention with their 1990 self titled opus "Crystavox", a powerful musical expression of hope and love calling all Christians to accountability. Extensive radio play and rave reviews catapulted the group into an unusual position ... charting three separate Top 10 songs simultaneously in three separate formats in CCM Update.
They released their sophomore album, "The Bottom line" in 1992. The release displays Crystavox's versatility and maintains its musical integrity with riveting lyrics, driving rhythms and a searing message. "This album takes a more aggressive approach. both musically and lyrically, at dealing with the struggles of living a Christian life in the 1990's" notes Adam Kemp, lead vocalist for the group, "Music is one of the most powerful forces of motivation." He adds "emotions and actions can be manipulated. whatever you put in will eventually come out, Satan wants control of that input. "The Bottom Line" is a more mature representation of who we are both musically and lyrically."
"Every day is a miracle for us" says rhythm guitarist/bass player Loren Helmquist. "We leave our future up to God and not our planned projections. Musically, we want to maintain professional standards. Ministry wise. We want to strengthen and encourage those we come in contact with," Drummer Fred Helm says, "I have a strong desire to express the creativity that God has given us and to play with no less than the best attitude. It's a privilege to write music and lyrics that the world will be able to hear. That's an awesome responsibility, and one we take very seriously."
