The band was founded in 1995 by bassist Maurice Taylor. A short time later, drummer Chris Lucci joined the band, followed in 1996 by guitarist Chris McIuan. In 1997, singer Paul Vander joined the band. Then the members went to the R/R Studios in Lake Jackson, Texas to make the first recordings. In May 1998 the band finished the work on their debut album, which was released in August under the name Forever and a Day. After some performances, vocalist Paul Vander left the band in early 1999. After that, guitarist Chris McIuan left the band and was replaced by Clint Wilson. At the beginning of 2000, Don Duzan joined the band as the new singer. As keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Planet X, ex-Dream Theater, ex-Alice Cooper) came to the cast. His keyboard recordings for the next album Entropy took place in his studio The Leopard Room, in Los Angeles. In February 2002, the album was released. The distribution of the album was followed by Nightmare Records. In Europe the album appeared on Steelheart Records.
In the autumn of 2004 the band appeared at the ProgPower Europe in the Netherlands, which marked the end of the band's first tour of Europe. Four of the six performances played the band with the Dutch band Sanity. Cristian van Schuerbeck was the new keyboardist. After that the band worked on the next album called Juggernaut. In 2006, singer Don Duzan left the band, initially Steve Brown took over his position, until Gordon Tittsworth found a permanent member.
